LLChing 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2012 The only tiling done at my place is the balcony floor. We din choose the design and size of the tiles. My 1st reaction is "why??? ..." Hope after removing the floor protection from my original marble floor, the difference between the balcony and living room is minimal. But I doubt so. Keeping my fingers crossed.Battle, I have to look out for your reno progress to estimate when the tilers will come over. The sand and tiles have been waiting here for a week liao. According to Andrew's schedule for us, our tiling works will stretch to June 16.

Cause the tiler told Andrew he will hand over by Tuesday. Basic laying is fast, but the cutting & touching up really more time consuming. Very challenging. Got to kio line by line. Bit by bit. LLChing 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2012 why you didn't choose the tiles? then who choose? We let Andrew chose the tiles for the balcony because we want the tiles to be as close to our marble slates as possible. However, if a marble effect tile does not look right, then he can go ahead and choose any tiles that can match. He did mention that the tiles will be squarish, white with grey strips. We din expect it to be very big square and rather uniform strips. But since it will be a small exposed area after all the carpentry are in, I hope the difference is minimal. Our marble slates are long and rectangular while the homogeneous tiles are large square ones.
