Change Letterbox Lock

Not sure if this is correct category to post..sorry if is sala!!

I am currently still using the letterbox key as pass to me fm previous owner.

the "door" is loose and is the old type w/o the lock where i can block out junk mails. :(

anyone got any lobang for changing and roughly the cost of it?

I think locksmith can do the job. Price wise i'm really unsure, but you can try to inquire a few locksmith to know..

Hi,

You might want to check with your town council. I have checked with regards to this.. My town council have "appointed" certain locksmiths to change the letterbox lock for my estate .. It costs around $25 (Bedok area).

I called TC's appointed locksmith and was told it will cost about $45 and well his schedule kinda tight.

Probably will try call those i see fm mailers!

u upload picture of ur letterbox lock. if just change letterbox lock, if brand is REAL u can buy REAL brand from DIY and changed yourself.

jurong town council charged $30 to change letterbox lock. JTC Minor Repair Services

If is REAL brand, it is easy to change.

I change myself.

Just buy from hardware shop.

It don't need $45 so much.

The lock is less than $30, cannot remember the actual price

Thanks!! i check bishan/toa payoh and the stated rate is only $35..dont know why when i call a guy told me $45? maybe ard CNY period then?

Sadly pricing are not standard across all towns.Guess when it need to be done..need to be done..
