I think its expensive.

3 To fabricate & install 4ft(L) full height display cabinet with solid ply in laminate finish. 1,200.00$

B Kitchen Area

1 To fabricate & install 10ft(L) top and 10ft(L) bottom kitchen cabinet with solid ply in laminate finish. 3,050.00$

2 To fabricate & install 10ft(L) granite worktop with double square profile 45degree cut. (Imperial Black) 1,200.00$

Is this reasonable ?

The kitchen part seems to be expensive to me . Is your TV cabinet with feature wall or just stabd alone?

Though it has been common that Condo dwellers must pay more, but cannot be everything right? For every item, suggest asking ID/contractor how he can justify the typical 20% to 30% extra, when his workers spend the same amount of time working in the house, whether it's Condo or HDB; In HDB they report to work late, then leave late cos HDB less complaints; In Condo they come late, but leave at 5pm or 6pm, then we have to pay them extra for being late?! I still cracking my head don't know how to bring this up to my contractor nicely, cos he is a nice chap. Or if someone can enlighten us further, tell us more reasons why Condo dwellers must pay more, we'd feel better.

3. 2x13Amp Power Points, our friends in HDB can get as cheap as $55 per unit.

6. Correct me if I am wrong, emulsion paint means it's water-based? Cleaning can be difficult. Can consider Easy-wash type. Nippon Paint's website has some quotations to compare.

13 & 14. I suppose the high price is for building something EXACTLY to your liking. I gave up that idea after knowing the cost. Plan B: Visited some of those mattress/bedframe shops at TradeHub21 (Boon Lay). Saw 2 frames i like, so asked the lady can combine the designs or not, she said can! can! $1400 without bargain. Just briefly the 'new' design has cushioned head board and side board forming a L shape around 2 sides of the king-size mattress, cos i placing the bed to the corner of the room. The mattress sits on a common storage bedframe that opens like car bonnet. Opposite the L board is a 1-feet wide platform with hatches for storage. What I am trying to suggest is, those shops may be able to fabricate what u want, just tell them the dimensions, with drawing even better.

19. As with other items, if have time, try visiting warehouses, may be can find something close to your heart, cheaper. Saturday's newspaper usually has lots of furniture ads. I bought the paper for the ads, not the fictions. If no time then no choice let ID/contractor earn.

Your kitchen cabinet seems to be 122.22/ft and mine seems to be 151/ft. I have not requested for anything special in those cabinets.

Your living room definitely looks cheaper quote than mine.

You kitchen area, although total length approx 14ft versus your 10ft, but your quote is alot cheaper and states Granite surface rather than solid surface (which could be plywood with Acrylic (like Ikea).

TV cabinet is attached to the feature wall. My request for feature wall is actually just a fake wall to drill and mount LED TV. No fancy design. TV cabinet is on the lower portion to put SCV, DVD, MIO, etc etc. Really simple one.

...feel like a carrot now.

Yes we did consider dropping some because "ideal" costs money.

We are rethinking if some can be purchased "off-the-rack" from furniture shops.

Will consider a visit to Tradehub21. Any other places like this in the east to recommend? (besides Courts)

By the way, Anyone can share what is the market average for...

1/ Per foot run of bedroom wardrobe. Full length. Laminate. No fancy color/design.

2/ Per foot run of kitchen cabinet. $122.22/ft to $151/ft is top hung cabinet and bottom cabinet without top surface? OR only low cabinet?

3/ Per foot run of TV console. Plain with cabinet with simple low cabinets for DVD/MIO/Modem/etc.

3/ What is the additional price for addition of ABS/trim and Blum/Hettich hinges?

4/ What are the grades for laminates for wardrobes? I heard EDLeuro and Jennings are pretty good.

If really use polygan for cabinet internal, choose lighter wood grain design; if choose white, they give you white PVC you also dont know lah.
