Simple Lair

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

This is my first time in my life creating a blog. Please bear with me for my poor Engrish and slow update of this thread.

Collected my keys in Dec 2011 after waiting for 2 years but its a bad time for me as well especially having to deal with wedding, first born and house within 2 years.

But fortunately i still have abit of 'Power' left to avoid being a slave of reno loan. After viewing few of my friends house renovated by Earnest Interior, Plush Living and 0range cube.

I decided to go for Plush Living.

Starting off is the floorplan.

Finally choosen a date to open door and i almost tear instantly....not because of excitement but how small the flat is compared to what i expected.

I will share on the proposed purchase first as i didn't take much pictures of the new house.

Kitchen Sink:

Visited Hoe Kee to get the BlancoAxia II6 Silgranit, but they dont bring in this model.

BlancoAxia II 6 Silgranit

Quoted $399 from Hoe Kee Genting Road Branch. The uncle was so pushy and kept recommending this model and not really interested to serve.

Blanco Metra 9

Will visit their branch at Katong soon, stay tuned for updates.

Tap:

Was quoted $700+ for this, almost dropped my jaw

BlackPylos

Was quoted $400-$500 for this from Hoe Kee Genting Road Branch.

BlancoElipso-SII

Seriously, the price of Blanco tap sold locally are insane

I will most probably import directly from Germany which the price is only half of what they're selling here.

For those interested to import Blanco from germany may visit http://www.addressgermany.com/Personal-shopper-US.html.

i think you might get more luck at the Katong branch... coz from my experience, they are not pushy and they let you slowly go through the stuff... Have gotten quite a few stuff from them but not yet delivered.

Heard quite abit on the Genting branch through the forum, thus decided to skip them totally. haha

My neighbor shared the same master bathroom 3d design like yours. Stock design I think.. Looking forward to see your Reno progress.

For the counter top in the kitchen: if you keep the design with such pattern, I think white top is nicer.. Light up the small area. Same for vanity top.. If you worry abt scratches, choose the white color with pattern, so can camouflage the scratches easily.
