lostprincess 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2012 Hi there,Was wondering if anyone went through similar 'ordeal' and what was the outcome? I'm currently going through similar situation.Bought an EC under the Fiance/Fiancee scheme and have settled the initial 20% downpayment. Took 30k CPF grant as well. Now that the relationship didn't work out, we are in the midst of revoking our purchase. Anyone appealed to MP and managed to pay a lighter 'penalty'? Soul108 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2012 Lost princess, I think firstly you need to talk to the developer as land sold will be under the developer. Hence I guess it might be unlikely even if MP can help.. Ask the agent to assist. Last time, I wanted to buy a DBSS and the agent mentioned also the seller had to give up for some reason but last min the seller had asked his parents to help payment.. The agent mentioned they had worked out an an arrangement with the developer. No harm with asking CPF board / MP to appeal later.
forgotten 1 Report post Posted February 13, 2012 MP will ask you to negotiate with the developer. Similar cases had appeared in newspapers before.Good luck to your negotiation.
bepgof 20 Report post Posted February 13, 2012 Sad/sour/bitter story happens everyday. Through problem makes one stronger.Developer appoints agency to promote & sell units. Don't expect developer "talks" to u directly. MP's letter carries weight, developer might give face. Ask yr agent as channel to deal with developer.
