Hoo8899 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2012 Hello everyone, newbie here. The reason of joining RenoTalk is because I am soon to be a house owner. Just exercise the option to purchase for 5i at Sembawang, the house is poorly maintained and need to spend some money on renovation.Firstly, I will leave the kitchen and both toilets to the contractor, need a complete make-over I think. For the living room and the bedrooms, I intend to use water resistance laminate flooring, anyone can give recomendation? On the price as well as the quality/service. Lighting will import from China, plan to have a victorian style design for the living and dining. Wallpapers will get from China as well, and DIY myself. Also wanted to buy wooden cornice for wall, anyone can recommend place to buy the wooden cornices? Also plan make-good of the doors surface and to change the locks to something fancy, possible to DIY with sandpapers/toolbox?Appreciate everyone comments, look forward to get the key in April. LOL! Hoo8899 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2012 China is using 220V, Singapore's 230V, so should be ok. In fact most of the stuff we get from Singapore are also make-in China, I must well buy direct from China. Btw, anyone can recommend me:- the place to get laminate flooring- the place to get teak wood and wooden cornices- the place to get partime painter- the place to get toilet bowl and basinMuch appreciated!
