Help : Painting Ceiling Plaster Board

There are stains on my false ceiling (those using the white plaster boards). What is the name of the white paint to get ?

I brought a sample piece of the ceiling board to the paint shop so the guy can look at the color, but the guy said he needed the exact name of the white, he cannot use the sample I brought him.

Does anyone know what name is the white paint (for ceiling plaster board) ?

normally for the ceiling, they will use off-white
