Erwinong 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2012 Just wondering if anyone has any good recommendation for a tower fan? Been to places like Courts. The range not wide and what they have look a bit cheapo in workmanship.I have managed to breakdown the pros and cons of the various electric fans:Tower fans - Sleek, less space needed. But can't clean inside dust.Round "traditional" standing fan - East to clean blades. But takes up space, looks and design not modern.Bladeless - Unique and modern looking. Space saving. But not as powerful as above fans. Noisy at full power. Very expensive.Or are there reliable imitations for the bladeless kind of fans? The original ones are really ex.Thanks for any kind suggestion. paddie 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2012 Forget about blade less fans if you want something quiet. The traditional round standing fans are still by far the most efficient and quiet. Next would be box fans, which are still better than tower fans. Tower fans are quite noisy though not as bad as blade less, and cleaning is indeed a problem.
