newbiee 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) Just want to share the cost for those intending to redo the bathrooms.Shifted in to my current place about 5yrs ago and at that time I didn't do up my bathroom as I kinda like the pink and blue bathroom fixtures. Also I hired Intradesign to do up my place and my focus then was mainly on the living areas hence didn't allocate any additional budget to do up the bathroom but it was always on the back of my mind to reno both the toilets...Main toiletBedroom toilet2 years ago I took the plunge and hired a contractor to do up the toilet in my living room, all in I paid $5015 and was very please with the outcome and the entire process took about 5 days.Overlay Wall tiles Overlay floor tiles Remove all toilet fixtures Install all toilet fixtures Remove and replace stainless steel pipes $3,100 Replace toilet window $150 Shower screen $450 Vanity set from Bathroom.sg $849 WC $380 Paper holder/ Glass shelf $86 I have been pondering to do up my bedroom toilet for sometime and 3 weeks ago I took the plunge and went to the same contractor above for a quote but to my horror he came back with a amount of $4000 for the same work he did 2 years earlier...so this time round I decided to go direct.Wall tiles from Hafary Floor tiles from Hafary $947 Cabinet/ Basin from Spazio Basin tap from Spazio WC Mirror Paper holder/ Glass shelf $799 Plumber to remove and install fixtures Remove and replace stainless steel pipes $340 Tiler to provide labor to overlay tiles and clear debris $1,000 Shower screen $358 Electrician to install trunking and install heater $80 $3524I save close to $1500 the 2nd time round without compromising on the workmanship, I was most please with the responsible tiler boss whom came down and help out for a few days to ensure he can handover the work on time.
