roswong 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2011 hi there, I just had OpenNet come to install fibre optics at my place - they cut out 2 holes in my false ceiling to conceal the cables. Now, there are 2 holes in my false ceiling which need patching back, and I don't know where/how to find someone to do this. I'll have to repaint the ceiling after this to get the repairs done.My place has just finished renovations - altho I asked my ID whether he can get someone to patch back, I suspect this is another chance to rip me off - I would prefer recommendations from the forum for people who know someone who can do the job.I also need someone (preferably the same person) to drill some holes for me to install shelves (1 Ikea shelf in the kitchen) and 2 curtain rods. Would be grateful if you know of someone who can do this work. Mega stressed out as I am having a New Year's Eve party and I now have holes in my ceiling! ARGH!!! hawthorne 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2012 Hi,if u want, u can actually do it yourself, its not difficult.Just take a piece of wood/aluminum/pvc etc, put it across the hole, and drill/screw it in to secure.then take the piece which was cut out and drill/screw it to the piece of wood/aluminum/pvc. After that, u need to get the plaster powder (aka mani powder), mix with water according to manufacturer instruction, and use it to fill the cracks/seams. once dried, can paint over.
