Track Light For Genera Lighting For Whole House

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My ID is proposing LED track light for general lighting for the whole house as we are going to have celling fans all over. Anyone is using track light for general lighting? How is the effect? Is it bright enough?

Cost is another concern for me. Any comments for costs?

Hi Hapless101, i was intending to use LED track light for my living hall too. But was rejected flat by my electrician. He said that LED is focus lights, though it will be bright but that's only at the focus spot. He then suggested to use ceiling lights or downlights... i've went to lightings showrooms to look at LED track lights and ask the salesperson to on the track light and close the rest of the lights in the showroom... the light can bright up the floor... but the surrounding is quite dark. as in the surrounding walls. Hope that this info helps.. cheers

Thanks for replying :)

Yes that is my concern as well. Pictures I've seen suggests the same experience as yours. My ID said he used them before for general lighting and I'm asking him to show me examples of them.
