albert....ask you a question.

in my bathroom, there is this spot (refer to pic below) that basically never drys out, even after 1 days of no water activity inside the bathroom. there is also extra mineral buildup (those white powdery thing) in that area.

any ideas what is the reason of this, and any thing i can do to rectify? e.g. apply silicon, extra grout...etc.

That doesn't look good.

You must find out from your tiler or contractor on why that part never dry out up.

It could be pipe leaking inside the wall or in-between the floor?

Same here, my all white glossy cabinets also low maintenance. Usually it is the dark color cabinet that are obvious when dirty/dusty.

hmmmm....one of the standing tile on the right side is a removable one for access to the bathtub piping.

very likely that water accumulates on the other side of the "fence". is there anything i can do?

Really must find out what is causing the wetness at that area.

You can try complain to your contractor for the sloppy job on the bathtub piping and bathroom floor (is a valid reason to complaint).

actually when i saw your KDK exhaust fan on your toilet window, i already know that rain water will sip in when rain... just that most home owners will still insist to install so i better keep quiet. :yamseng:
