Wardrobe Sliding Doors Without Bottom Tracks?

Hi: Just want to check if anyone has done their small walk-in wardrobes with sliding doors but without the bottom tracks. I was thinking if I should protect the flooring just in case in future, should I remove the doors, at least the flooring remains intact.

I notice those top hung sliding doors kind (without bottom tracks) used for kitchen doors are much heavier than wardrobe doors and too much to be used for bedroom wardrobes.

yeah seen some neighbours doing it.

top hung one... but then i think he has a joint somewhere where it can be clicked together.. safer i try to get some pics for u
