Central Gas Heater For Maisonette - Can Put 2Nd Floor?

Hi forumers,

Any one here staying in a maisonette here and using a gas water heater? Must we install it at the ground floor? Can install on the 2nd floor? I heard cannot install inside the toilet because of the ventilation issues, is it true?
