Built-In Oven And All-In-One Microwave Oven - Any Big Difference?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if the all-in-one microwave oven that can steam, grill, even bake is good? They usually cost more (about $800-1400) than a simple single function microwave oven.

Or if space allows, would you rather buy a built-in oven? They are usually cheaper than the above. Only problem I see is that in addition to the built-in oven, I will still have to get another microwave oven for simple heating of food.

Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Depending on how much you bake and grill.

I have both the built-in oven (for my new house) and the 3-in-one microwave oven (Brought over from my old house. It was with me for 17 years!!).

Microwave function is useful for quick heat-up. The 3-in-one oven works well for baking and grill too. I have yet to use my built-in oven and I suppose it is good for major cooking for big function.

I am eyeing the Happycall pans which serves like a portable grill and 'oven'. My choice would be 3-in-one plus a Happycall and if have space and budget, a built-in-oven. :):yamseng:

Hi,

Wow... I must be so backward! I didn't know 17 years ago, they already got the 3 in one microwave oven! Thot it was only in the last 7-10 years or so.

Do you know if there are any brands (maybe max $1000 budget) with microwave function for built-in ovens?

I'm thinking if I do get the built-in one, I would like to save some space and not have to buy another microwave oven.

Thanks!

LOL... Now I feel very backward. I am not sure about convection built-in oven cum microwave oven. I guess they designed the 3-in-1 microwave cum convection oven for this very need and purpose.
