Forms By City Furniture [Sofa]

Hi people,

would like to check if anybody purchase their sofa from FORMS by City Furniture Co Pte Ltd #02-02/06 @ IFC

The sales person claims there have many years experience in furniture eg >30yrs ??

was attracted by 1 set of their sofa. worksmanship seems to be good. Was told it was recycled leather, good durability compared to normal leather, and easy to maintain. Advised not to get half leather, should go for recycled leather instead (as least its full leather, not half). Was quite hesistant, as the price was steep at $3.8k for a full recycled set.

Even told me, other shops so-called full cow-hide leather are bull****, as it would cost very much like 7/8k for

genuine full cow-hide leather, as leather on a single cow is limited, and they need several cows for a sofa alone.

Dunno whether to trust the salesperson or not..as the sofa is indeed very nice

3.8K for recycled leather is ridiculous. You can get full cow-hide for that amount.

Recycled leather is another term for Bonded Leather. $3.8K for Bonded leather! Oh My God!

You need at least 200 cows for a recycled leather sofa set. Not joking here, it is really true you need several hundreds cows for recycled leather sofa set. You can imagine how strong recycle leather is when you have not 1, not 2, not 3 but 300 cows. It is a known fact that compressed wood which comprised of hundreds of thousands of tiny wood chips & shavings is far stronger than a single piece of solid hardwood.

word of advice... DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM FORMS!!

We bought our furniture from FORMS at Sungei Kadut IFC... On the day we arranged for bedframe to be delivered to AN CHUAN they called at the time the bedframe was supposed to arrive to say it cannot be delivered!!

Baywindow cushion came 3 inches short!!

Coffee table came without the glass top!!

Dining table came without the chairs!!

Not forgetting the dining table is on loan because 1 week before delivery date (15 Dec) they informed us the model we chose in early Nov is no longer manufactured!!

Plus they're hard to reach over the phone. And when they say they'll call us back they never do!!

Say will deliver the missing items today 1-3pm, now 4:30pm still no sign of them!! Been waiting here almost 5hrs for nothing!!

I am NEVER going back there again n will NOT recommend them to anyone as I don't want others to suffer what we have been through. KNS!!!!!!!
