Mind sharing how much is the quote for the kitchen cabinet + solid top?The sink size is quite big (800mm X 500mm?), right? If it is smaller you can mount both way, undermount or inset. Worry for you, undermount got a major disadvantage; if something happen to the sink, there is no way to change the sink without hacking away the solid top.My kitchen cabinet looks fairly similar to the one in the below picture, minus the handle bars on the drawers and the L shape for sink; internal finishing is light wood grain.I cannot confirm but I think it's those normal white laminates. It comes in a package for cabinet. Solid top I think around 11 ft l at 880. I need to check if its pvc but won't be able to get back to you till weekend.Hahaha.....I didn't measure the sink worr but I think roughly that size. We wanted big sink. So we bought when the contractor didn't say anything cos he was with us.Yours look nice. Needs cleaning for top of top cabinet though. Should get the sharp edge sink to undermount, but we bought the round edge sink. To me, sink is not something we will replace often.... the same sink used for 20 years also no problem. How it will rust after few months, i have no idea. I feel the pipes are minimal leh...and anyway they are running all around and I can't have cabinets all over the kitchen mah. How many cabinets depend on need bah. Nope, no hood. Not interested in one. My mum cooks every and dont use hood. And I dont think we are gonna cook everyday Yup, the same as me too. i also don't have top cabinet.... you saw it when you came by.. And i also don't have hood... also not a need..... yes, the flat smells of food but even have hood also will smell of food.... my downstairs cooking also i smells it. hahahaha.. so no difference. albertchng 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2012 lousy quality stainless steel will rust?Yes... you can try Google on "stainless steel sink rusted".Those branded sink manufacturers usually add nickel into the stainless steel in order to make it rust proof, the higher the nickel content, the more expensive the sink.I believe i read somewhere in the RT that someone months old stainless steel sink starts to rust.
