Tanjong Ria

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Recently purchased a unit at Tanjong Ria, 1281sf.

Decided to start this t-blog to share our experience. This is our first home, so advice/thoughts would be much appreciated!

For starters, we have problems getting a proper floor plan:

This is what we could get from the condo brochure...it's a pretty old development. TOP 1997.

My agent actually has another unit in the same stack...the floor plan is pretty similar to our purchased unit except for the length of one of the bedrooms...he had to take a photo of it from the mgmt office!

Think he should be able to get something like that for our unit too... hopefully it's good enough for the designer/contractor to work with, although my agent mention the measurements are not very accurate!

Ideally, we are looking to start reno right after completion date...which will be 2 weeks after start of CNY.

Was wondering if the contractor/designer has to step physically into the unit to assess it before starting reno? Trying to get my agent to arrange with the seller side for us to make a few additional visits before completion date...

We haven't really thought about how much reno we want to do yet, but I would think that it would be fairly significant.
