Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Hi Bro, thanks for the greeting. I will try to bring my drawings to office and scan (not 3D as my contractor always said he is not designer - can't draw 3D drawing - he only do up a simple one for our viewing). Anyway till date - We are still happy with the work being done now waiting for the capentry to finish to see the capenter quality work (so far I do like the capenter work as per I see from the show house in another unit (5 rooms) at my opp block).

I will try to uploads more pics soon..(still trying to figure out how to uploads pics/videos..hehe

no worries Sis, your reno progress looks good and can see that you've done lotsa shopping too!

the price for ya reno works looks reasonable, just make sure they don't cut corners can liaoz.

anyway from what i know, you can include youtube clips in your post by just copying and pasting the entire URL in here and it would be automatically converted to show the clip once its been posted up, not sure for other types of media.

last friday, contractor had instructed the electrician to do up all the lightings for the whole house and painting has been done for the whole house except service yard and certain walls of the house in grey colour still yet to paint.

all lightings are simple and transparent colour as hubby don't like fancy pattern or lightings.

On Tuesday evening - I have went to my new house and see the reno progress and was happy to see that all the grey wall paintings are done (have taken the pics will upload soon). Window grilles **** room, balcony, service yard, bedroom 3 and aircon ledge are up and done. I have talked to the contractor (George) and he confirmed that all capentry works will be up by 2 wks time. Curtain measuremnets for all bedrooms and wooden blinds for living room have been done on Wednesday. Just crossed my fingers that all things and reno will be finished by end of this mth or by 1st week of Dec'11 as I have arranged most of furntiure delivery on the 2nd week of Dec '11.

I have arranged contractor to help me get the toothbrush holder with cup for MBR and common toilet, the tempered glass for holding the shampoo and shower gel in the 2 toilets and L-shape storing rack in the house shelter.

After spending big $$ on reno and furniture - pocket already big big hole :o but still yet have things not yet buy..nvr ending shopping stuff..lucky have sponsor for some household appliances and furniture..otherwise really big headache..hehe

Your progress looks really good and your kitchen is huge(at least compared to mine)!

Care to share your curtain contact and how much you were charged?

Thanks sis. oh yeah i'm happy with my kitchen size and quite shock to see a small kitchen size for the 5 room flat (actually Sengkang Fernvale 4 room flat - the kitchen also so small - I got a friend stay there & during his hse warming..i got a shock to see such a small kitchen and pray hard that my kitchen not that small):P

My curtain and wooden blind contact is Shaddai-Plan (the shop is @ Simei Eastpoint level 4) look for Joseph. He charged me S$1,900 for 3 bedrooms half length night curtains with track and wooden blinds for living room (I find his price ok but some said is expensive, some said reasonable - so depends on individual - i find it ok as my living room wooden blinds already costs $800+ i have checked with other places also the same price). Maybe you can check other forumers which have cheaper price for curtains (especially those from JB).

Ah, my kitchen can't even fit a fridge, and none of my friends believed me when I said my service yard is bigger than my kitchen. Haha

As for curtains, I'm asking around, not sure when I should start doing my curtains? How long does it take for them to do it? 1 week? I can't plan anything now because kitchen works have yet to start, sigh, everything is dependent on the kitchen now. zz

I think the leadtime to do the curtains shld be fast - shld be 1-2 wks leadtime (also need to depends on the supplier schedule - seems now is coming year-end - will be busy). For me I have advised my curtains to be installed on the week 12-16 Dec 2011 but my wooden blinds will be delayed as materials imported delay (just hope that can do it by Dec'11). Yesterday I went to my friend hse warming - she stays in the condo..her curtains for living room and 3 bedrooms only S$1,200.

your kitchen can't fit a fridge but I went to blk 269A a 5 rm unit that my contractor has done - kitchen is small but the owner still get a 2 door side by side fridge - the sink is near the windows which outside is the aircon ledge and the cooking area is just opposite the toilet...i find it so crampy.
