Professional Engineer (Pe) For Hacking Wall Of A Prefab Flat

Hi,

I just brought a resales flat and then realised it is a prefab flat which hacking of walls will be an issue.

My ID has sent in application to HDB and they have replied required PE (Professional Engineer) to certifiy and resubmit for HDB final approval.

I want to hack the store room to make the living room bigger and also to have an open concept kitchen.

My ID said that the cost of the PE is S$1500 and it will delay the reno process.

I have 2 questions and need your advice :

1. Please advise if Prefab Flat walls (store room walls) can be hacked?

Anyone who stay in Prefab Flat has done hacking of the walls before?

2. I want to enange the PE myself so save cost and to monitor and expediate the process.

Anyone have PE (Professional Engineer) to recommend?

Theres not prefab flats , just prefab walls. Yes some of them can be hacked, but must go thru PE. Most likely it will go thru.. the PE just stamp and take ur money nia.. 1500 is high~
