Can A Built-In Wardrobe Be Dismantle And Relocate?

Recommended Posts

Hihi,

Need some advice here. Recently just got a place (still waiting for 1st appt :D). The seller has converted one room to a walk-in wardrobe and have built-in wardrobe at both side of the walls. I would like to convert the room back to a normal bedroom. Is it cheaper to dismantle and relocate one side of the buid-in wardrobe to another room, or build new one?

Thanks in advance!

Different rooms have different dimensions, so how are you going to fit the wardrobe into the other room with different dimensions?

The wardrobe is a simple, standard 4-door, floor-to-ceiling type. The other room is an empty squarish room. Based on eye-balling, the length of the wardrobe fits the other room. So I am wondering if it will be cheaper to dismantle, move it to the other room, and modified it to fit?

Just gathering options here. Thanks.

I think it would be quite expensive to relocate (if the wardrobe still survive after taking down from the wall), as no carpenter would want to do this kind of biz. So must as well hack it and do a new one.
