Thom Signature Design

Was deciding between Big Branded IDs and one man show IDs, but thought hey wouldn't it be better if we had the boss helping us with the works rather than an employee. Thus we decided on engaging Thomas as our designer. Frankly, he was not the cheapest, mostly mid range but what's a few thousand more for our dream home. He a pretty reserved and quiet person, not a salesman, but we liked his design and patience, we changed our minds upteem times ... But most important we feel comfortable and safe to engage him.

So far so good, and we just had our "opening work ceremony" for feng shui purposes. Thom came to knock off a cabinet door Tml we will be choosing our tiles and toile accessories... Wish us good luck!

I have also enagage thomas as our ID. His price is quite reasonable. Most of designs & ideas that he show us is quite trend that my wife & i like it. He will explain to us in detail in a patience way. Most important he look after our home as his own, follow up every work himself we like the way he work...

I started to read reviews on Renotalk. Many good tips and advice were given. After almost 3 months of meeting IDs and changing of designs, we finally finalised our ID for the renovation of our love nest.

We signed up with Thom signature design. Basically thomas won us over with his creativity and design. Price wise, i wouldn’t say he is cheap nor extremely expensive. I think the market price for ID is somewhat ard there ba.

I’m like so excited can~ cant wait for the day when my reno starts.

We bring thomas up to our flat to take actual measurements.

Oh something interesting, he passed us a color book and asked us to individually note down the colors we like. He will then based on our indications and proposed something to us that will suit us both.

Presented to us are also drawings but it will not be the final ones as we have made further changes to it.discuss the elevation drawings…meaning all the compartments and layout for the Shoe Cabinet, TV Console, Kitchen Cabinet, Island, Wardrobe.

Ok, so far what thomas propose we are generally happy and he knows our taste quite well…..some of the things/options he let us choose is what he have proposed already.

Til this stage, everything is still good. Quite happy with him and i hope he will keep up the good work during actual renovations.

$$ is increasing cos we needed to add certain items. I hope we dun add any more things liao…..economy very bad and everything is so uncertain. We better save more $$.

Today is Day 03, day 01 of the reno and its tua hacking. Maybe i sua ku but I tot maybe will take about very long to hack everything away but when we went up on day 01 evening at 6pm, the whole house is hacked.

Based on the schedule, hacking should take 3 days, i wonder day 02 & 03 need to hack what…. maybe clearing of debris??

At this rate if everything goes according to plan, the flat would be ready by end May or the 1st week of June. ****, so fast i haven have the 心理准备 can~ haha

Oh, and we kena 2 complaints during the short 2 hours when we were there in the morning. thomas already pre amp us sure got ppl complain about the noise level and really loh, 1 unker complained about him taking leave and its so noisy and another fellow questioned us about the permit and if we were approved for the hack.

I was like WTH?!! do you think ppl will actually heong hacking without HDBs permit?? And even if complain, will the workers stop the work?? Use toes think oso know cannot be right.

I oso will tua KBKB if im sleeping at home and got reno going on but dats dat right. I wouldnt go complaining like dat. *shakes head*

Went up to the house to take a look in the just now as the windows are being installed today.

Initially we wanted to take white but i decided to change it to black in the end and i think the results are very good.

The tiler were already laying the toilets wall tiles when we are there. I think next week the living and kitchen floor tiles will be ready as well n I hope everything will be as smooth and will keep to the schedule.

Everyone is telling me wetworks usually very fast, its the carpentry stage where delays will happen. Thank you very much guys, bleh~

You know its weird seeing the house forming as per the drawings i have been seeing. I think when the house is finally done, i sure will get emo de loh. hahaha.

It has been a week since we started the reno. I have to say, the progress is faster than i tot.

Just few days and both my MBR toilet and my common toilet wall and floor tiles are laid. Yet to check through the quality though cos the tiler and working on the living and kitchen floors so cannot walk in. NVM, this tue bring bestie up to QC, she is 1 very sut QC-er. Ha Ha

The kitchen (my fav area) is creating issues. I really like the kitchen design but because of beams and such uncontrollable factors, things have to be changed as we go along.

Right now there are a couple of things that i think would have to change. Have to discuss with thomas before i gg for oversea

It has been 2 weeks since we start our renovations. Only when we started the renos then we realized how crooked our house is. Ha Ha

By crooked, i mean a lot of walls in the house is not straight and balanced. Only when we hack and about to either do the false ceiling or door then realized. Haiz. I guess problems are in the package for matured houses.

The kitchen (my fav area) is creating issues. I really like the kitchen design but because of beams and such uncontrollable factors, things have to be changed as we go along. False ceiling above the Island area. This is the problematic area that got everyone putting on their thinking cap and try to think of a solution. Although this is still not the prefect outcome i want but i guess it already brought the ugliness to a minimum

It me back againmy renovation will be finished soon and smooth. On a happier note, i absolutely heart my kitchen can~ super nice. I cant wait to see the black glass backing to be up, sure will be duperly nice. Ha Ha

still have to thanks my designer & his team mate follow up on my house and do the coordination on everything. email and whatapp me photo whatever they do. I am very happy n please of their job.
