sunnice 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) Shopping of ID felt like blind dating.Even though we got recommendations from friends and neighbors, we can't just rely on that. IDs who are too popular may not give us enough attention and sometimes can be a bit slow or impatient. Creativity, reliability, patience, efficiency and cost-effectiveness seem so hard to find in one ID. It took us 2 months to talk with different IDs to find the right one with the right chemistry. Below are some IDs we talked to:S C : the first one we talked. Out for the first meet. Attitude is quite arrogant and emphasized a lot on our limited budget.Black Jack: their package seems to be cheap but extra items were quoted high. Workmanship seems not bad.Rhiss Interior: One of the highest quote we got.We wonder why they saved money on their showroom. Serious defect found in their showroom and they claim that's because the plywood was sponsored! And they claimed that they will never compromise quality and material for lower price. Daphne from Meter Square: She is previously from O C.We are very impressed to see her proposed design as it is only based on a few simple sentence in our email but her design fits our lifestyle and taste well. We like their showroom though it is very small. She appeared to be quite experienced. We did not sign with her because the price is a bit high. Bryan from D5 studio image: one of the 2 shortlisted ID. We like their showroom.Felt bad for not choosing him in the end. He is very patient and detailed with a very comfortable chemistry without pushing attitude. He even provided free 3D drawing with no obligation and checked defects for our new flat. And finally:Andy Low from D'trenzo. He's not that sales with sweet talk but is quite attentive and patient. Very reasonable quotation. Also provided breakdown price list for electrical works which we like. He always responded in time with enough details. Signed with him and was quite impressed how he kept communication and work schedule well! Edited November 7, 2011 by sunnice

sunnice 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2011 Here is our floor plan.Choose this unit for the nice north-south facing without afternoon sunlight. We like the spacious living room and full height window a lot. However, a low beam located very near to the main door gave us a strong feeling of pressure. The Fengshui problem of door facing window directly also gives us a big headache as we do not want to do build-in divider which will separate the room forever. sunnice 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 3/11, aircon was on!Brand: Medea sys 3. 4 ticks inverter. 6 years warranty and 1 time cleaning. free installation. bought from Courts at $1998.Some people doubt the brand as it is quite new to SG. However Medea is a famous brand in China and has been making parts for Japanese aircon brand. We think it worth trying for the 1k price difference to other brands.Happy to found that they are using copper pipes for installation which is durable. My ID Andy impressed me again for working out a good way with minimal exposed piping with the installation guy even before I got to my house. And it is good that the aircons will not face the beds directly and it is better for health.
