CarlsSenior 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) Seems like online furniture stores are rather similar in quality of their goods.I recently bought a 3-seater sofa from www.Bedsspecialist.com.sghttp://www.bedsspecialist.com.sg/viewProduct.php?id=189the delivery guys called me in the evening to said they wanted to deliver the sofa 1 day ealier... then when they come to my flat, they kept saying they rushing for time got other deliveries to make while i checking the sofa. After they left, proceeded to removed the remnants of the cardboard material protecting the underside of the sofa and discovered that there is abrasion on the underside of the sofa. image shown here: http://i.picoodle.com/d5diqef4on the left side of the armrrest, can slightly see the threads holding the synthetic leather together (indicating a slight tearing). After less than 2 weeks, the site's tearing widened. image shown here: http://i.picoodle.com/f0biqef9. The side of the sofa got wet during the rain also. The bedsspecialist replied that they only provide 6months warranty on the wooden frame. So to warn all people, when the delivery guys say they rushing for time to make other deliveries.... it means something wrong with the goods delivered... BTW, the delivery guys say there are only the sub-contractor so any problem must go to Bedsspecialist... but Bedsspecialist no action in these defects. CarlsSenior 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 Bedsspecialist does not want to do anything about these defects.... just bought it for less than 2 weeks before discovering these problems...So hooping to find manufacturer on the warranty.Do anyone know which company make this sofa? most likely Malaysia-made product.Think there is a design flaw in The area of the armrest where the tear is. There is hollow space under the PU leather where the tearing took place along the threadings. so no support for the PU leather cover, resulting in tearing along the threadline. Design Flaw... The defects on your sofa would actually be acceptable. The reason the company can only provide a 6-month warranty on the wooden frame is that the lifespan of the sofa is probably less than a year.My advice is that if you really have a very restrictive budget go to Salvation Army and buy a second hand sofa, you may be better off. He should have gone for bargain display sets/pieces at all the furniture retail outlets. Next time, insist that the delivery guys stay put while you inspect the goods so that any defects that are found can be written down on the Delivery Order on the spot. In that way, you will have a much higher chance of obtaining a full refund or replacement set.

CarlsSenior 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 Well this product is still being sold by Bedsspecialist... so just to warn potential buyers...to know the quality of their product...The reason why its so cheap is due to the PU leather... not real leather.half real leather can make a 3-seater sofa cost $400-600 more than a PU leather version. thats y many Half Leather 3 seater sofas cost around $600 - $900.Full leather sofas will cost at least $1000 more than PU leather version

If you intend to rent out your apartment, its good budget to buy PU sofas. they are soft and comfortable. But after 2 years, you gotta dispose it off.
