It will be a major makeover with a very limited time , just 7 weeks. Hopefully i get to move in before the year end.

What do u think ? Too much ? Impossible?

Thanks,

I'll be hacking a lot of stuffs, lots of carpentry - .

Basically everything got to go.

You will understand why once i got the keys and post the current conditions pics.

All got to be complete by Christmas , or else my family got no where to sleep.

But generally , most ID says they can complete within 6-8 weeks.

Hey there fastforward. Don't worry - seven weeks is enough time - provided there are no problems. Have fun and wishing you all the best yamseng.gif

I intend to have a rain shower and got few doubt about the water pressure.

Few questions on water heater ...

1) Anyone using CityGas Gas Storage Heater ? Any feedback ?

2) what about using instant water heater with built in pump ? Can recommend any brand ?

Can someone recommend me Cheap and good

1. electrician

2. Wrought iron gate and aluminum grill / window supplier .

Thanks

Yo

Below is my recommendations....my approach is to look for at least 5 contractors/suppliers (sometime more than 20 e.g. furniture) before deciding on one :notti:

U can try TBT. I have my grilles and wrought iron installed by them just last week. Price is good and their salesperson Andrew is a nice guy. I have PMed the contact to u liao.....

As for my electrician BJ Electrical, I have known him for 8 over years and he is one of the most responsible guy I have met. I have PMed the contact as well but the only issue is that his schedule is very tight (sought after by many ID) so depends on your schedule..... good luck with your reno :yamseng:

Ah Seng 97382223

WIndow Grills & Sliding/Casement Window

I already compare this Ah Seng with 3 others, he is so far, the cheapest that I've found...

But I haven't confirmed with him as I am waiting for 2 more quotes to come in.

Call him for a no obligation on-site quote to know how much you have to pay for. He is 1 uncle so he don't have website... Company name is Soo Liang Trading

Market rate is about $6-$6.50/psf

Ah seng is $4.80-$5.80/psf

Hope this helps...

Hi

I've just completed my EM Reno (quite near yr place) ; w/o changing flooring of level 2 and living room, I already took 8weeks as there needs to be more coordination given its 2 levels.

So it's been to give yrself a bigger time buffer.

Will be good to discuss yr piping and wiring early with yr id as once the frenzy starts , you can't think clearly.

All the best.

I hope you don't mean Soon Liang Trading Uncle Koh.... If you don't mind installation scratches on your grills and walls during hand over.... . He has difficulty on being punctual for his appointments (at least 45 minutes late on 3 separate installation appointments, sales appointment is very on the dot) I stay in 4 rm flat and he needs to schedule us on 3 separate days (half day each) to finish his job to do window grills on 3 bed room 1 living room and a sliding window and grills for the service yard. You have to dominate over him to fit him into your schedule, otherwise his planning is a mess. He is a smooth talker and quite thick skin, so take care in your transaction with him. Given a choice, I would prefer a more trust worthy and punctual contractor over him.
