airconlin 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2011 My ID recommanded an electrician for my HDB new flat wiring work. I check the electrician's name in EMA website, http://elise.ema.gov.sg/elise/findworkerservlet?Operation=GetOffer&Item=ELI searched the recommanded worker's name and find no results. However my ID said it is OK to hire him because his company is registered. I guess this is not right, but not sure how much is the risk in the legal side. For technical side, my unit is premium contract, not much works. Anyone can give advice? Thanks!

airconlin 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2011 Are you given the name of the company of the electrician? No, the electrician is an individual, the ID told me the electrician is appointed by ID's company, so it is alright. I am not sure whether this is a common practice in the market. In the EMA website, There is no search item for company, all for individual.http://elise.ema.gov.sg/elise/findworkerservlet?Operation=GetOffer&Item=EL
renoseeker 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2011 Then I think it is up to you to see if you want to take the risk. The best way is to insist your ID that you want refund / rectifications if the electrician screw up somehow.
