ashtorath 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2011 Just wanna share my buying experience with furnituremart.sg. I bought a queen-sized bed for my new house frame from them and it was scheduled to be delivered on 21 Oct between 10-3pm. They ended up coming at 9pm, despite numerous reminders that I have to leave the house by 8pm to run some errands. Upon reaching, the lady who delivered the frame (yes, it's a lady!) had problem attaching the legs to the frame. We had to help her carry the frame into the bedroom as well. And after unwrapping the frame, then we discovered that the leather was torn at one corner of the frame. The lady told us that it must have been damaged during the shifting and that she would bring back and re-wrap the frame for us. We asked her how long it would take as we are scheduled to move in on 30 Oct. She said it would be very fast and she would let us know again. On further inspection, we found out that the headboard was damaged as well. So we waited a whole day for nothing, fine. We waited till 27 Oct, still no news from them. We called them up and the same lady informed us that the frame won't be ready till mid Nov. We told her we are moving in on 30 Oct, how can we do without a frame?! That's when she suggested delivering back the old frame to us so we can use for the time being, and then swap with a new piece once it's ready. Fine, so they scheduled the delivery on 28 Oct, 5-7pm. Once again, I instructed them to be punctual as I had to leave by 7pm. I spent a good 2 hours, waiting in vain, again. No sound, no picyure from them. Called them like a million times but no one ever picks up the phone. At 8.30pm, they called to say they are coming over to deliver. I gave them a piece of my mind straight. They came up with crap excuse like tyre punctured, duno why worker never call to inform etc. I told them I don't want the frame anymore.Moral of story, buy from them only if you have plenty of time (or leave) to wait for them. In my opinion, the whole experience from them totally sucks, I've never been so frustrated buying things. To add on, the quality of their furniture is not fantastic. CarlsSenior 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 Seems like online furniture stores are rather similar in quality of their goods.I recently bought a 3-seater sofa from www.Bedsspecialist.com.sghttp://www.bedsspecialist.com.sg/viewProduct.php?id=189the delivery guys called me in the evening to said they wanted to deliver the sofa 1 day ealier... then when they come to my flat, they kept saying they rushing for time got other deliveries to make while i checking the sofa. After they left, proceeded to removed the remnants of the cardboard material protecting the underside of the sofa and discovered that there is abrasion on the underside of the sofa. image shown here: http://i.picoodle.com/d5diqef4on the left side of the armrrest, can slightly see the threads holding the synthetic leather together (indicating a slight tearing). After less than 2 weeks, the site's tearing widened. image shown here: http://i.picoodle.com/f0biqef9. The side of the sofa got wet during the rain also. The bedsspecialist replied that they only provide 6months warranty on the wooden frame. So to warn all people, when the delivery guys say they rushing for time to make other deliveries.... it means something wrong with the goods delivered... CarlsSenior 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 Now I wondering if such online stores are set up to get rid of defective items...from a collection of furniture stores in Singapore?
ccchua 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2011 So far, the only online store with reasonably good reviews is beds.sg.
ELELEL 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2012 Furniture Mart provides the worst service ever - delivered a defective coffee table that has one leg so much shorter than the rest resulting in a terribly unstable product. While promising to deliver a replacement the delivery man kept postponing the agreed delivery time and failed to show up, despite the fact that I had taken leave from work to wait for him every single time. There is obviously zero communication among the sales, logistics and after-sales departments. Nobody ever answers the sales or after-sales hotline and the mailbox is always full so nobody can ever leave a message. Can I ask what is the point of opening up a hotline that nobody attends to? When the sales rep finally returned my call, she was terribly rude and dismissive and refused to listen to my feedback although I was polite and factual. She even hung up on me on the phone. Does Furniture Mart value its customers? Does the company realize the importance of word-of-mouth marketing? This is the first and last time I am buying anything from Furniture Mart again, and I will not hesitate to share my bad experience.

Guest Tan Heng Report post Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) yes, for furnituremart.sg their service is very bad, i like to share my bad experience also, i just bought a wardrobe, they have exactly same picture of product with different model no with different price, i bought the more expensive model and told to be better quality.and later during the delivery i found the quality is not that good, give a call to their show room just to find out more if any possibility delivered the cheaper model, the lady keep saying we follow your order number, so far no people complaint, we will not be wrong, we sent what you order. (the same statement keep repeating and never what to listen tome what's wrong with the quality of product"then i am asking if possible talk to his superior or manager, her reply is that her manager is in US, she asking me so small little thing need to talk to her manager?i am faint, only can say i am bad luck and i will try my best to advise all people around me to beware of buying product with them, not any more from meplease keep this thread up, people who find their product cheap to buy to be ready for bad service and bad product, you pay peanut you ready get peanut, or may be worst..
