Ceiling Fan Light Kit Wobbles

i jus had my ceiling fan with 3-bulb light kit installed..

it seems that the fan is stable but the light kit wobbles abit..

wobbling of the light kit becomes more obvious when the speed of the fan is increased..

the installer says cannot be helped..

any of u guys have ceiling fan with light kit installed? does the light kit wobble?

btw my fan's brand is Rega..

Hi pal,

If the light kit is wobbling means the fan is not balance, bcos the light kit it attached together with the fan.

Your installer didn't balance it for you.

So it's best that you ask your installer to balance it for you.

strange thing is only the light kit wobble..anyway, i did not accept my installer's explanation and have told my installer to go figure out how to make it stable..

for this issue..does the fan brand matter?or is it the skill of the installer?

Hi pal,

The light kit will not wobble if the fan is balance, as mentioned the light kit is attached to the base of the ceiling fan. So if the light kit wobbles means that the ceiling fan is wobbling.

There are many factor that contribute to the unbalance fan.

Installer, fan blades, mounting...etc

i think its might be due to the balancing.

Try asking your installer to make a trip dwn to redo.(if not its dangerous)
