Help Needed Urgently - Wall Bracket For Toto Wall Hung Wc

Recommended Posts

Dear friends,

Need your help urgently as need to resolve this before we install the wall hung WC in our common toilet.

The background is this:

We purchased a wall hung Toto WC with Geberit system. Our ID needs to install the wall bracket plus Geberit system first as hollow bricks need to be piled on to cover the plumbing works (sorry I am no guru so description slightly rough).

The problem now is that our supplier has furnished us the Geberit system which comes in 3 components: the Geberit system (concealed in the hollow bricks portion), the Geberit buttons as well as the wall bracket which is used to "hang" the WC. The former two came in Geberit boxes. The wall bracket however looks quite rough on the edges, and finishing does not look good. Our plumber said that the wall bracket looks like it's to be affixed to the hollow bricks portion, instead of the wall. This would render the wall hung WC quite fragile, which might give way over time or should someone heavy sit on it. Would want the infrastructure to be robust as we also incurred extra reno costs for the wall hung, which is needed to make space for shower area.

We discussed with our supplier and it seems that this is the best they could obtain. They are not aware of a better wall bracket and said it's likely our plumber not experienced.

My ID and the plumber said that the wall bracket they have seen previously in condos are nicely wrapped up in Geberit boxes too and are affixed to the wall instead of the hollow bricks. I'm thinking of going to Toto directly to ask them can they sell me the wall bracket directly but not sure if will be successful :(. Another option is to return the entire set of Toto WC plus Geberit systems to our supplier but not sure if can get refund. We got not many things to buy at the shop already.

If anyone with experience with wall hung WC and the wall bracket will appreciate your help very much, thanks! :)

I don't quite understand... for concealed system.... the bolts holding the white bowl are mounted onto the concealed blue frame.

http://www.hongsoon.com.sg/site/?m=100&f=130&p1=1041064947&p2=1093584305&p3=1113416210

Why is there a need for a wall bracket to mount the bowl?

The brick wall in front of the concealed system is purely for asthetics, it is not a load bearing wall. <-- I not implying u are heavy.

I agree.

I am not certain if the wall bracket that TS mentioned is actually the blue frame; if it is, then the wall bracket needs not be in polished condition, as it will be concealed.

If you suspect that one of the components delivered is defective or missing, instead of arguing with the supplier about what is what, ask the supplier to lodge a service report with w.atelier. They will send an service personnel to look into it FOC. Alternatively, call w.atelier directly for assistance.

Dear yoongf and Lauer for your prompt replies! I have a better idea what my ID and plumber meant when they said the bracket is nicely fitted as per the image in the link. It's likely they are used to the Geberit one rather than the rough one my supplier supplied. I will check with my supplier again :)!
