It was some years of using, maybe due to vibrations or screw rusty or earthquake. Or must be due to the constant jumping of the naughty boy upstairs. Or maybe the installer didn't do a good job. Never have ceiling fan since.

This hanging fan only saw once in a coffee shop, sat down a while, after seeing this, didn't order anything, just walk away.

Fan is definitely good for circulating QI flows in the house. Hence design of the fan doesn't matter.

Like function of stirer in cup of coffee, mix all soluble ingredients together, however, unsoluble ones still sink at bottom after each hard stir.

Remembering in my old house, one day came back home and saw ceiling fan danggling halfway in the living. Luckily nobudy was using. Can't imagine how if this happens in the bedroom while sleeping. :help:

This is part and parcel of life, not uncommon. Always practicality and safety come hand in hand.

Let me help yr imagination to run wild: If get injured, depend on seriousness, if minor, "fix the injury" on the spot, if serious get ambulance and rush to hospital. Then, follow by action of "compensation".

I'll be more concerned over ceiling fans getting dislocated from the ceiling. There were reports even of recent months that the blade of the ceiling fan broke off while it was in operation & come slashing down at the hotel lobby in Singapore!

Can u imagine getting beheaded in bed or dismembered into 2 parts?

I've even had this neighbour who consistently quarrelled with the owners for the unit above becox their kids kept jumping up & down; and she blamed them when her ceiling fan came crushing down onto her new laminate flooring.

Just to share, once my nephew jumped when playing and got a deep gash at the back of his head. Teens are not well aware of their surroundings.

Me too, already called it a day and no more ceiling fans for me.

I also don't like the idea of having open blades rotating without protection. Heard of one news that the father was playing with baby throwing him high and catching, forgot abot ceiling fan and accidentally cut his baby.

I felt that the ceiling for flats are really low, especially those older 3 room flats.

The condominiums are supposed to have higher ceilings but their owners would normally airconditioned the entire place instead of installing ceiling fans, which I'm not sure if it's allowed by the respective condo management. And since the condo layouts are downsized, having a ceiling fan might jux mean making the place look cramp. not sure.

How can a kid jump so high?

if the kid stood on top of the sofa or say, dining table & jump, then chances are he'll hit the ceiling fan since most of our HDB flats have relatively lower ceilings.

and kids are kids. at their age, they are a huge bundle of energy. it's extremely tough to control them from jumping unless there's they've been disciplined by folks at home.

I read that ceiling fan in mbr over the bed cuts relationship, wonder how true?

Not true. Relationship problems in a marriage are inherent in a bazi chart. It's just waiting for the right time to be triggered.

If a couple has a clash, destruction or harm between Mth and Day Earthly Branch in their respective bazi charts, the problem would surface, with or without the ceiling fan.

Sleeping under a ceiling fan lowers my our utility bill as compared to turning on the aircon. And I don't have to wake up with a dry throat.
