I think all 3 telcos go back to the same installer, ie opennet. and I heard from 1 of them opennet delayed their customers' installation. but no choice cos IDA only award to opennet.

My colleague managed to nego with SingTel to waive off the $220 if he sign up with them, perhaps can try to nego with their CSO?

OMG guys and i really need some feedback on this :help:

my electrician lay Fibre Optic cable for the house but without doing the termination point form the Hub. (He got no idea how to do it)

And i tried to call up OpenNet and M1 and the charges is standard S$220 for it (which includes fiber)

Do you have any idea how can I get it done without paying huge fees for it?

(I have no idea why the previous owner didn't take it for FREE".... ;) )

Yup OpenNet CSO told me about this also

She mentioned the operators is "Hungry" for us~

But i called up M1 they say "Nop, sorry we charge S$220 for installation regardless only termination point or lay new cable"....

I think might be Starhub Trooper that do the job...

By looking at their chart...

M1 Fiber: Cheapest 25Mbps only S$39

Starhub Fiber: Cheapest 50Mbps $59 (If im not mistaken)

:bangwall: got to waste money for asking my electrician installing them...sob sob...

Are you sure you electrician laid fiber optic? Only opennet allowed to lay the cables plus the termination point. My electrician only lay fake cable for fiber optic, for opennet to lay the real when they come.

My friend also got free installation cos she has been using Singtel for years. It's upgrade from adsl broadband to fiber.

Some ppl don't know what is fiber optic that's why never take it. Why you ask your electrician to install the real fiber??

Hi Terencetcw,

Good to hear that we shared the same floor plan! My wife loves your door! Mind to share where you get it?

So do you have rough idea on how much you spending for your reno? Like to compare as you seem to be able to do it without an ID... Hope to hear from you soon! Will be lurking in your t-blog alot now :D
