piknik 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2012 (edited) At my current place, the neighbor installed the CCTV outside of his door and right in front of my main door. My whole family never feel offended leh... We instead benefit from it, feeling safe. As it is facing the corridor, not facing us.. (corner unit). At my new place @ punggol, it's quite quiet. I assume most of my neighbor will be young couple and most will work full time. The whole floor has just 4 units, mine tuck at a corner, quite private. I feel safer with a CCTV, hearing abt cases of breaking-in @ punggol. If I install it indoor, it will not have the crime prevention effect. I think I still have to inform my future neighbors abt the CCTV before installation. But 1k is expensive......... Edited February 7, 2012 by piknik
ayazumi 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2012 (edited) Maybe it's common to install CCTV in new estate flats, but if install in old estate flats, the elder neighbours may not like and may feel offended. Not sure about other houses' corridor layout, my house corridor layout is door to door with my neighbour, and in between us is a lift. I open my door, I will see my neighbour's door. If I install and point my CCTV at his/her house, people may feel that I am spying them. Edited February 7, 2012 by ayazumi
