So that when close door it disconnects the circuit Edited November 22, 2011 by Simontsh

piknik 1 Report post Posted December 1, 2011 Oh, am I too late to tell you IKEA's soft closing mechanism is done by BLUM? I went to Ikea some weeks ago and talked to the staff abt their kitchen models. Found out they specially have BLUM design their soft closing thing to fit in IKEA kitchen door/ drawer. $9-10 per pair. But I was showed the back of the soft hinge, it's very compact n has Blum word @ the back. The price per pair is cheap, ikea motto "we help you save". The main problem is: ikea soft closing mechanism can only be used for Ikea products. A t-blog owner here with a country theme flat had his kitchen top n bottom done by carpenter, and used Ikea doors. Like that, he could purchased the soft closing hinge as well. Edited December 1, 2011 by piknik
Terencetcw 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2011 hmm ic,Im still thinking on the price vs. durability on the Blum, Ikea, OEM hinges in the market.Paying extra for the brand BLUM which slightly better quality whether justifiable on getting them.I love blum (poison by reno magazines) but still hard to take a step to their office to see their products~Once im there definitely i'll go crazy and wipe out everything that i needed and there goes my wallet a big hole in the pocket hehe
