Make Over For A 3 Room Flat @ Amk

Recommended Posts

which rain shower set u got from hoe kee?

Hi Simon, I can't remember the name and only know the model is 103.

Btw, I called up Hoe Kee and enquirer about the water pressure and if it can work well with a Joven instant heater. Was told that customers bought the same model and used with instant heaters too. And it worked well.

Unconvinced, I went to Jalan Besar and checked out other shops as well. This uncle from a corner shop (selling fans/ lights/ heaters/ taps etc) told me that those who insist rain showers must be accompanied by storage heaters are rubbish. :S He says it depends on which level you are staying and the water pressure, new house or old house, type of instant heater. Storage heater is not compulsory.

Also, there is a new type of instant heater which comes with a 'pump' and 'booster' which can increase water pressure but is 'unfriendky' to neighbors staying upstairs hehehee. So I'll go ahead and try with my existing instant heater and if it really doesn't work, I'll change to the instant heater with 'pump'. ;)

OMG.... that's nightmare of all nightmares. As it is so difficult to get the opennet people. the whole thing removed.. or just removed from the wall.. but the TP and the wires still intact? if still intact... just attach it again to the wall at the right place... sign on firbre service.. get the ONT people to come in .. they will re-test the signal before deploying the ONT. otherwise there's really no way you would know if the TP is gone for good.

It's gone for good... Totally gone. I don't even see the cabling around anymore.

Told him he has to take responsibility as it's his own mistake. I've told him never to remove and he forgot to inform his workers. Same case as my toilet floor tiles.

Ultimate winner of all contractors...

I don't know what to say.. speechless. You are right ...ultimate winner. Even the guys who turn up at my place to hack the house, knows to detach it from the the wall, coil up the slack, and leave the TP hanging from the ingress. You need to quickly make appt with OpenNet, pay $220 for them to relay. Insist that they start laying from the distribution point on your floor. That's what the very service-oriented OpenNet guy did for me. The staff are all very nice... the system sucks though.

The contractor called OpenNet and earliest appointment is 6 months later. I already told him I don't care how but he just gotta settle it for me.

Else I'll just hold payment and make him compensate.

He just spoilt my weekend:(

It's been some time. Lots happened in between:

1) contractor found his own contact to re-install Open Net at a lower cost. Whatever...

2) paint Colour all gone wrong. Only 2 colours and he could mix it up

3) ceiling fan needed a longer bar due to false ceiling drop, contractor blamed me for it (!!!)

4) lights installed but connection to switches all in wrong place

5) bedroom lights cannot be completed because bulb holder protrudes out and glass piece cannot be slided across

Lost 1kg in the past week. How nice...

Here are the photos:

Half completed

LeGrand, Clipsal, Schneider (in that order). Y? Due to communication breakdown and serious coordination issues with contractor (what else is he capable of?)

Master bathroom

Kinda regretted having the rack above the basin in the master bathroom. Due to space constraint, I opted for a smaller basin but didn't realize it's really that small. Gotta be careful when using the basin so I won't knock onto the rack loh... Haizzzz

Notice the trunking above the feature wall? I'm very upset by the sight of it...
