potatoes 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2011 Nice bathroom. Reckoned tt ur basin will be outside the toilet? Do take note tt the 3D omitted out the existing pipes, which will hv impact on the actual look on a realistic side.Agree. That is why I was disappointed when the actual work was completed. The actual and 3d don't quite look the same. The other thing is that 3G and actual may not be of the same proportion. 3d is only an approx.
ejszaka 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2011 @ejszaka: nice colour right? Heh, mum also love it.Ya. Which is why I chose it. If it's too reddish, hard to match.
Ngan 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2011 @prody: Partial furniture will be new as I've recently bought new dining table, refrigerator and washing machine. My house will have kids hence decided not to invest I'm expensive furniture till the kids grow older. I don't like them dirtying my sofa etc... -_-@Rover & potatoes: told contractor to conceal pipes but he said cannot. he'll try to do nicely for me Loh... Sianz, he's a 'no' man. My basin will still be in the toilet itself but I'm a corner I'm front of wc. This 3D bathroom is a not realistic at all and I will not make reference to it as much as possible. That's really to manage my own expectations I guess. @ejszaka: or if too yellow/ white also difficult to match and dirty easily ya?
Ngan 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) Hi all, some updates on the reno progress:All tiling work done for bathroom wall and floor tiles, kitchen floor tiles and living & dining floor tiles. Looking good. But there was a blunder with the common toilet floor tiles. I've specially told the contractor the position of my basin but he got it wrong. Fortunately I went to take a look and realise. When I spoke to him about it, he was looking for all sorts of excuses instead of admitting he was wrong. Because of the wrong positioning, the tilers have to remove the floor tiles and relay again, with the drainage hole at the right place.Another round of blood puking Edited October 2, 2011 by Ngan
Ngan 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2011 Start of 2nd week with all the sand, cement and plasterRe-laying of gas pipes by CityGaa which I must say is really very well doneDuring the laying of floor tiles, I went back to lay my fengshui stuffs too Common toiletMaster toiletI must say I'm very satisfied with the tiling job as the workers were very professional and meticulous. I can't seem to spot any line of defects in their work (expect the wrong instructions from the contractor).
Ngan 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2011 Hi all, have got a headache now and hope to hear from you all.Is it true that instant water heaters cannot support rainshower? As in the water pressure will be pathetic?
ejszaka 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2011 Hi all, have got a headache now and hope to hear from you all.Is it true that instant water heaters cannot support rainshower? As in the water pressure will be pathetic?Yes, confirmed. You need to install a heater tank. Sometimes the water pressure is so pathetic, it can't even support the 707 Princeton instant heater. The guy from the shop told me, if the pressure is too low, you can cry and shower at the same time cos the pressure would be like someone peeing on you. I got a fright and switched to a simple instant heater.

ejszaka 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2011 ask around. my ID saw there are new ones in the market which no need storage tanks.I read somewhere that the CityGas storage heaters are very energy efficient and saves space. Uses gas to heat up the water, and heats up very quickly.
