kenjo 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2012 We bought the lights after everything in the house was done... they were installed last. If you really like the light and is not in a hurry to move, maybe you can check with ur ID or contractor if it is possible to push back the installation? Thanks for liking the PH5! I super duper like!! heheYour lights are cool too! Are they suppose to hang like that or attach to the ceiling and let them drape down? One told me 6 weeks, then when I was around that area again, I popped by to just confirm on when it will be in stock and this time, another staff told me not sure, hard to say. Anyway, they confirmed it will not be in by next week, which is when the electrician is coming to install the lights. The PH5 is really nice. Envy. But couldn't afford that, so I bought simpler stuff like thesefeel free to drop by my t-blog with your comments. cheersoriginalbread
kenjo 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) After doing some research on storage rack and checking out the prices of a few companies, we decided to go with Storage Rack with its SRL1512 rack! The interior and exterior goes very well with the theme of our home! It looks something like this just that the longest shelf will be on the right side and white shelves. It is slightly pricier than the usual but aesthetically, it is the most pleasing to the eye. We like it due to the "missing" corner pole and that there are no holes on the poles. More importantly the wooden shelves are encased in the frame itself and there are no exposed surfaces on the sides. I guess it would be safer for us when we retrieve things from the shelves. Letting them drape means like an octopus look? I think that looks nice too but need more bulbs than 7 bulbs for that?

kenjo 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2012 Oh Namie, As per my earlier post, you can bring your own sofa picture and get them to customise! For a customised sofa, the price is quite reasonable. Thanks!

kenjo 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2012 We have decided to paint our main door grey... will be choosing the colour today when contractor brings the colour palette over later. Perhaps a grey in this shade? Does anyone else have any experience in painting your main door? I am wondering if the handle could be painted over. Other than changing the door handle, can we paint over it? May paint it black to match the door holder on top.Wait and see the transformation of our main door! From this... to...? kenjo 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) Was given only two choices of grey for painting the door. Decided to go with this!Hope it turns out well!Would it be too much to ask if I get the painter to paint some white lines on the door? Was thinking of doing 3 vertical lines of different sizes. nicholaslee 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2012 Very nice concept. Won't it be troublesome to have to leave the room to access the wardrobes?Look forward to see how your living room layout is like
kenjo 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Hi nicholas, thank you for your compliment! The wardrobes are actually part of the rooms except for the study. Where it stands now, is the original wall of the rooms. That's why I mentioned that the rooms are "smaller" in size, especially the study room. Here's a picture of how the wardrobe and rooms look like.Sorry for the "ghostly" image on the glass door... that was me taking picture when it was up. Have since requested for the door to be frosted. This is the view of the 3 rooms with the wardrobe. The very first room on the right is our study. Followed by baby's room then the MBR. The glass door is the door leading to baby's room. Between baby's room and MBR, there is another pocket door to separate the two rooms. Also managed to dig out this photo which shows the overall plan for my place! Love it to the max! Hope it helps you guys to visualise better!Very nice concept.
