Monster Washer From Sanyo Awdl703Hctp

Recommended Posts

I have this Sanyo washer (6kg) cum dryer (3kg) for a year & a half from Courts bought at $999 with 5 year warranty. Other than the low washer usage due to the tilt drum design and the low power consumption. Everything was a disaster.

A 50 minute wash cycle with 4 rinses and 9 minute takes 1hour 58 minutes

If you want it quick you can use 20, 30, 40 minute wash cycles or 1,2 or 3 rinses or 3,5,7 minute dry spins.

2 hour dry cycles dont work unless you have a few items like a couple of clothes and a towel (estimated at 1kg)

Normal loads of clothes and bedsheets require 4 hours and you might have it fully dry on raining days.

Add these all up and you'll have a 6 hour cycle. Yawn...

That is if the washer didn't encounter any errors during wash and rinse.

When the washer spins at the lowest rpm of 700rpm, you feel theres a jet engine starting in its high pitch whine. 900rpm, its taking off. 1200 rpm, I close the windows in case the neighbors call the police.

After 3 repairs, nothing has improved.

Error code 1 EA1: Happens once out of 4 washes. Not stated in the manual and the service people says its due to vibration

Error code 3 EA3: Happens after EA1.

You'll have to turn off the power at the wall socket to deactivate the washer. The nasty surprise is when you thought you'll wake up to dry laundry in the morning, the washer tells you its got an error and all your clothes are still unwashed.

This washer is only available at courts, don't be fooled by the promo prices of $899. Its a washer model even the authorised service center is sick of repairing.

A bigger capacity washer/dryer like Toshiba tw150vs 9kg/6kg would be better. Using one for 4 years, no problem...error code occur usually becoz load is unbalanced.

It is true washing/drying cycle time is very long, the good is you dont have to transfer from washer to dryer, so press on and 'forget' just give more time to finish its job
