Unreasonable Caveat Lodged On My Unit ~ Help

Recommended Posts

Hi,

our deal between seller (me) and the buyer being rejected by the HDB during submission due to the ethnic quota eligibility issues.

Thereafter, we did appeal to the HDB, but unsucessful.

My buyer got very angry on his buyer's agent and asking for compensation. Before this, he had applied the bank loan, and a caveat had been lodged to my property. Since our deal is void, I refund the OTP,exercise Fee to the Buyer, but got rejected by him too.

Need someone advises on the below doubts,

1)how to release the unreasonable caveat lodged on my unit since my buyer is not going to do anything?

2)will the caveat issues affect on my selling of flat, if let say my next buyer is getting a HDB loan?

really headache on these unexpected issues.

This is the first time I've come accross this kind of issue.

Why not you check diretly with HDB instead? Or worse come to worst, consult a legal firm.
