moony 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Hi all, needed some advise.I'm planning to get some lights from USA but I'm not too sure if there will be any problem with the voltage / watt . I understand that electrical items from USA mostly run on 120V but I'm not too sure is it the same case with lights.Appreciate if anyone can advise me. TIA. rottenramone 1 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Yes, if you are buying lights from the US, you need to get those which run on the 240V ones... otherwise, I think have to install some form of transformer....

restlessfeet 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2012 Has anyone else bought lights from the US? The range is so much better... very tempting. Sometimes US lights can take up to 250V but must ask electrician to test and see if it's ok... don't know if I should take the risk.
