calliecats 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2012 So my reno journey continued.....All my water pipes were concealed & my contractor suggested that I change the location of the master bathroom sink area to make it more ergonomical. I also changed the location of my kitchen sink from the back of the kitchen to the front (basically exchanging the positions of the sink & stove from the origiallayout). The plumber my contractor got was a very nice guy & very efficient too. Here are some pics of him at work re-routing the water pipes:Re-routing kitchen sinkRe-running toilet pipes

calliecats 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) Adideam: I read it on your blog While they were hacking down the half wall between the living & master bedroom, the whole wall came down. This was unexpected & my contractor said that sometimes prefab walls will have that kind of problem. So he offered to reinstate back half the wall, which is fine by me. Actually the half glass wall was suggested by my contractor when I told him that I wanted to open up the house as much as possible. He said most people will not be able to accept it but it will be nice to be able to see a little of the master bedroom from the living room & with the reflection of the mirrors in the living room, it will make the whole apartment look like it has more depth & space. I thought about it for 2 weeks before finally agreeing to go ahead with it. The effect? LOVE LOVE LOVE! The glass wall created a cool "layering" effect, yet I will have the privacy to pull down the blinds whenever I have guests over. After hacking (whole wall came down)Here are pics of the reinstated wall & sealing up of the door of Bedroom 2 Before sealing up the door of Bedroom 2After door of Bedroom 2 sealed up Edited May 16, 2012 by calliecats

calliecats 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Here are more pics:BeforeAfter (the windows could not be changed due to HDB regulations to keep all the windows looking the same)The lovely glass swing door (sand blast)-you will notice the top/bottom hinge which my contractor advised me to go for, he said the side hinge would cause the door to sag after awhile & it would not close properly due to the weight of the glass. Best thing is no extra charge!!The stainless steel "H" handleThe door has a beautiful slight greenish tint which I love I'm so glad my contractor talked me out of the bifold door. Edlyn 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2012 Hi callie,Love your master bathroom, looks like a hotel bathroom and the glass used. Cool, the glass must be exp right? The design of both your bathrooms are very contrasting. Like the tiles you choose, very classic and elegant. You did not add a door to your shower screen, wouldn't the floor get wet when sowering? Looking foward to more pic. Niceee
