ejszaka 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2011 Why did you have to relocate the TP again? Was it really out of place? For my house, I am planning on just laying cat5e cable which doesn't depend on Opennet to wherever I want (including to bedrooms), with one end next to the existing TP.No. It's because the wall it was stuck to originally had to be torn down as I changed the layout of my home.I don't want to lay any cat5e cables as my 3 room flat is a small place, really unnecessary. I only need the TP near my TV, which is a smart tv, and everything else is wireless. Also using the free fixed line that came with the telco package, so attaching a phone to the RG. which will all be at the tv console, hidden or otherwise. So everything in one convenient place would be more practical.
ejszaka 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) DAY 27Went up to my flat yesterday evening (Sat) and was pleasantly surprised the flooring had been completed and looked good... well, at least good enough for me.The extended living room area into the dining area and kitchen.Viewed from the kitchen.Platform for my TV area. Very nice look and feel to it. Better than I expected. Reminds me of a dance studio floor.Another view of the TV area. MeRfMeRf 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2011 wow bro! great progress on your flat! i see you did alot of box-ups to hide all the pipes, did you also boxed up the aircon trunkings?im also having issues with opennet as well, paying is one thing. but i doubt i'll be able to hide the trunking due to the appt only later in dec as they aren't not able to come down in time before my carpenters put up the wall features and false wall to hide all this and the TP. I thought when you sign on with telco, will get appt within 3 weeks. the opennet guy who did my place was very experienced, and service oriented. he said if need be, get someone to lay a conduit in the light boxes or places you wanna hide the fibre cable, with a pull through rope inside). not the trunking for the electric cables type (those sure get stuck), but a conduit like the aircon water drainage pipe (the round smooth type). with a round conduit, the opennet guys can pull the fibre cables through very easily. not like mine, stuck left, right and centre and need to cut holes. don't let opennet ruin your beautiful reno. They come in many brands like Clipsal, MK. I got mine from T&J from a shop in Balestier ...... I think they are less expensive. ejszaka 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2011 (edited) u bought the switches urself for electrician to fix?where to get this? damage? nice nice nice! I had wanted to buy it myself. Saw it in one of the smaller light shops diagonally opposite the lightings.com.sg showroom at Jln Besar. Checked with my ID, and he told me the electrician can provide at additional $60 to change all the switches and plugs to Legrand. But thing is, they come with a face plate and rocker only (made for pte property where wires are hidden). So if you wanna use them, and are not concealing your electric wires, you will have to buy a matching base by another brand, which uglifies everything. PM me your email address, I send you the catalogue.. super huge file. Edited October 5, 2011 by ejszaka

This time, it's the door to the bathroom/WC.Looking into the kitchen. Can't wait for all this woodwork to end. Such an eyesore.. and messy messy messy.
