Sofa Re-Upholstery

Recommended Posts

I have a worn out L- shaped leather sofa which I bought for $2500 many years ago and I want to do a

re- uphosltery. Is it worth while to do so, or should I just get a new set?

If re-upholstery, any recommendations?

TIA.

How many years? Usually not worth doing because will need to change foam as well.

Actually it is 8 years.

But the foam is still in good quality as it is hardly used.

The leather was damaged as maid used strong detergent to clean it.

Then perhaps you should get some quotes first before you decide. My guess is that the cost of re-upholstery will be quite close to the cost of getting a new sofa but if you like what you have then you may want to re-upholster.

I am looking at renting out the flat so I don't really want to spend too much.

I might just do a fabric re- upholstery instead.

Do you have any recommendations?
