bastien 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2011 Hello,we're planning the renovation of our kitchen, and are looking for advice on how to proceed, and who to contact, with possibly hints on recommended company / contractors.we already have a pretty good idea of what we want, so don't really need an ID, however we'll definitely need the advice of a good contractor to do the job properly.the different elements we are thinking of are:- changing floor tiles- changing kitchen cabinets- changing wall tiles- partly hacking one wall to open a small "bar area"- changing counter top- installing new down lights- integrating oven / fridge neatly into cabinets- changing sink- changing fume extractor (just the extractor, not the location nor the piping)- changing stoveoverall the layout itself should not change drastically, so not much electrical or piping work.depending on the feasibility & cost, we might want to move a small corner wall (hack down and build up).any advice would be highly appreciated !thanks ! rosegqgraham 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 Just installed new garbage disposal and kitchen sink won't drain without being turned on. This causes dishwasher to overflow kitchen sink. I don't feel like standing at the sink anymore and turning on the disposal every time we need to wash dishes.Master chef
