Elvin82 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 Hi Guys,I have this burning question which I hope to check with the gurus here.I have just finished by home reno and I found that my EF cooker hub is not secured by silicon to the kitchen table top. In a way, I can move it slightly and lift it up.After checking with my contractor, he told me that it is better not to secure it with silicon as the heat and accidental spillage from hot soup will cause the silicon to melt and making it very ugly. My concern is: If I have an accidental spillage on the kitchen table top, the fluid will seep into the gap between the table top and cooker hub into the cabinet below. As I have not made the final payment to my contractor yet, should I get him to secure it with silicon? Thanks alot!Elvin
