Keeping The Rain Out

My house entrance (the balcony) lacks windows.

We liked that it allowed more light in, but now we realise that if we keep the door open, and it rains, there is a chance the rain water that gets blown in with the wind will wet the door..

So i'm looking for solutions instead of putting windows (wanna save $$; esp since reno is almost over).

I had an idea of covering the grill panel at the end near the door using a clear acrylic sheet.. Any views on this? Or any better notions...?

Also, who knows where I can find large acrylic sheets? I havent' taken measurements but the size of a standard hdb window panel..

you can use those old school bamboo blinds...

now a days they do very nice le...
