Carnarios 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2011 I recently completed a renovation for a HDB 4 room resaleThe electrician who changed my ELCB charged me S$280 . However a friend who recently visited my new home mentioned that the switches in the supposedly new ELCB had the HDB logo, which seems to suggest that only the ELCB casing was changed and not the switches insideCan anyone advise if I am getting lesser than what I paid for? Here are the pics:
ben263 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2011 Bro, if i never guess wrongly you should be living around east coast area...changing elcb means change everything including the box, rccd and mcb (everything)....also changing the whole elcb the electrician also need to return you the old ones not take it with them.this ensures that they did the job properly.Sorry to say this but you seemed like kena conn le... My other question is whay you need to change the elcb?It looks perfectly fine to me unless there is a short within the old box which also means you need to change which ever that is shorted....not everything....Normally changing everything because you need more mcbs but it's still your preference....I recently completed a renovation for a HDB 4 room resaleThe electrician who changed my ELCB charged me S$280 .
