kalimantan 6 Report post Posted August 8, 2011 hiI think there are a few threads on sofa which i listed earlier (can't remember the exact header). Also there is a chap here by the name of Samy (if i remembered clearly) , he is good at explanating the sofa materials .Since you raise this topic again, i suggest some advices for youa) quality things that are cheap are too good to be true. In another words, do not expect good top rated leather sofa to be cheap and you think you are the first customer to pick up such "good value sofa for money" thing. If quality sofa is cheap, many could have queue up already !b) Look around your peers and friends who own sofa. They tell u the truth. In forum, there may be salesman mentality try to sell and influence you. And if you have richer or wealthier friends, these people unlikely to buy cheap sofa. Look at the price these people pay and you will feel the differences.I am not saying poor versus rich people here for comparison (i am not rich either). The truth always lies with the buyer who bought it and share experiences with you.

PU feels softer to the touch by more likely to peel off quickly. Bonded leather is just awful because is it just ground up leather held together will glue. newcomer1 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2011 Hi Kalimantan, Daniyoji & Samthe man,Thank you for your sharingI understand from some salesman that half leather sofa means that the seating area is real leather & the back, bottom of the sofa are fake leatherI cannot afford real leather sofa. What is your opinion about half leather sofa ? Is it worth buying ?Seems that it is difficult to tell the difference between real & fake leather except the price of the sofa(I assume more expensive sofa is real leather)I am not willing to pay a high price & in the end turn out to be fake leatherThere are some furniture companies such as Novena, Barang Barang, Defu, Brighton etc in the marketHow do you feel about their leather sofa, is it real stuff ?Thank you
