Hi, cos i got some very big piece of left-over gypsum board and intend to paste onto my house-hold shelter door so that it flushes with the wall.

If you look at the pics above, the shelter door was about 10mm inwards to the wall. So i'm thinking if i can add one more layer of 10mm thickness to the door and flush it with the wall.

So that i can paint over and do some wall art using decals. =)

why don't u try drilling the gypsum board to the door instead?

in this case, it can still be removed in future with ease... :)

Good idea! But that door is a metal door and i'm not sure if HDB approve of us drilling it or not leh...

then sealing it is not allowed dude. do at own risk...

Oh no, not that i want to seal up the room. I just want to put something on the door to make it flush with the wall.

And yes, i will have to use the room to store things too

Selleys Liquid Nail is a good adhesive for general building materials. It is certainly good for gypsum, but I'm not sure if it is good for metal especially smooth surface. But from the pictures given, I do not see how you can flush the gypsum board with the wall without sealing the entire door off.

Hi 70wood,

Thanks for recommending!!!!

Erm... i think should be able to flush without sealing the whole door. I'll just have to leave a gap between the door and the frame. =)
