paladin 1 Report post Posted July 28, 2011 Hi,I would like to have some ideas on how to box up the aircon trunking. For a corner of my Master Bedroom, the aircon trunking is kind of an eye sore. I asked the air-con guy to put in additional trunking to hide the hollow part of the wall. Then i used a patty to cover the lines that divide the trunking and used paint to paint over, just like its part of the wall.I've also seen my contractor using some aluminium sheet to box-up as well. Do you know where can i get these kind of aluminium sheets? Can anyone share your ideas if you've done your own box-up? Thanks! =)

paladin 1 Report post Posted August 1, 2011 I'll go take the pics and post it here during the weekends. =)Hi, this is for my BR3.This is for my BR2.The boxup that i've done is like the above, putting another layer of trunking to fill the gap. Then use patty to close up the gaps and paint over it.
stardust205 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) Another way is to put a piece of thin wooden board over the trunking, then paint over it.I think it should be less obvious to the eyes than putty covering the gaps.Neighborhood hardware shops sell wooden planks but cutting them to the size you want may be tedious. Simplest way is to ask contractor do a plasterboard over it. Confirmed nice-lookingI done so for my house Edited August 2, 2011 by stardust205

Ya, i've got the area painted and it looks like part of the wall. Its the cheapest way to do a box up! The wall patty is really very handy and good to use! Hehe...But the gypsum board is abit brittle. I can use my fingers to snap it. I wondered if it can hold on long or not...
