Hi, thinking of doing some simple reno to my existing livin room. Any idea how much to put aside?

Will be doing some hacking to remove a existing cabinet and do a new one + a feature wall for TV + simple TV console. Should do thru ID or Contractor?

Not sure how big is your cabinet. Dismantle cost about $250~$400. Depends on your negotiation power or individual contractor, the price may include the removal of debris from site. TV feature wall plus simple console is about $220~250 pfr.

There'll be some hidden cost that follows ur "simple reno" :

1. Protection of flooring

2. Hacking and clearing of debris/rubish.

3. Electrical works

4. Painting works (touch up)

Aside from those cost, the TV console with panel might cost you 2-3K depends on the design&materials u're using.
